Authenticité des Œuvres
Note importante sur l'authenticité des œuvres

Artwork Authenticity
Important Note on Artwork Authenticity
Every artwork presented on this site is an original, unique creation, entirely handmade by Ivan Colas, professional artist-author.
Due to their handcrafted nature and manual creation process, you may observe on certain pieces:
- Slight micro-creases on paper supports
- Subtle natural deformations of the material
- Texture variations depending on the support used (paper, canvas, cardboard, wood, etc.)
- Irregularities in the application of medium (pastel, acrylic, ink)
- Traces of the artist's gesture (visible brushstrokes, manual blending)
These Are Not Defects
These characteristics are in no way defects, but on the contrary testify to the authentic creative process and are an integral part of the artwork. They are the signature of the artist's manual work and guarantee the uniqueness of each creation.
An industrially or digitally produced work would be perfectly smooth and uniform. My artworks carry within them the trace of their handcrafted creation, which is their true value and authenticity.
Appreciating the Artworks
The photographs and videos presented on this site cannot fully capture all the nuances, textures and details present in the original. Light, depth of material, color subtleties and reliefs can only be fully perceived in the physical presence of the artwork.
A work of art is fully appreciated with a certain distance, in its physical space, where natural or artificial light reveals the subtle dialogue between material, color and form. What you see on screen is only a partial representation of the actual artwork.
Guarantees
All my artworks come with:
- Certificate of authenticity signed by me
- Numbering if the artwork is part of a limited series
- Official stamp from my studio
- Signature on the back or front of the artwork
Each artwork is unique and will never be reproduced identically. By acquiring one of my artworks, you become the owner of an original and authentic piece, witnessing a unique creative moment.
